Merlin is an incredibly powerful magical creature. Dragons or deities could overwhelm her, but once she had gained her strength, none other could take her down or outdo her. Merlin's magic appeared shortly after birth with no training. The abilities that she has had since she was young and that started as pure instinct are an ability to slow down or speed up the movement of objects or people, as well as moving them herself with her mind's effort. Merlin could sense powerful magic as well as sense the presence of spirits, and to sense when others were turned into other shapes of invisible.
In addition to the powers she had natively, Merlin is capable of learning magic at an abnormal rate. Her learned and grown magic includes the ability to use blasts of energy to push enemies away, incapacitate, wound, or kill them, to create a wave of energy to hit multiple opponents at once and use her mind to contact other magic users directly in their thoughts.
She came to have Necromantic ability over life and death, elemental magics, especially fire and the wind, cast spells without any preparation, and without verbal actions or movements. She also possesses the ability to form a shield of energy that can deflect even dragon's fire, as well as use magical items with much more adeptness than most.
She found she could turn statues of animals to real animals, commanded other animals to do her bidding and to wield multiple abilities related to being the last Dragonlord. She can emit a dragon roar, causing entire groups of people to be knocked backward, command dragons, and dragonlike creatures, and engage in magic duels.
She has a great resistance to magic, surviving powers others could not, from her own killing magics to the touch of deadly magical creatures. This might be related to the fact that she cannot grow sick, cannot be killed unless stabbed through the heart with a sword that is forced in dragon's breath, and does not age like others do.
Other Abilities:
Merlin has skills with several weapons, including the sword, crossbow, and spear. She also gained great knowledge in herbalism and medicine, and has skill in healing, treating illness, even completely annihilating magical diseases. Merlin, due to people disliking magic, became very, very good at keeping secrets as well as disguising her magical actions as other deeds.

Sidhe staff, her wizard's tome, Gaius's herbalism and magic tome, a dragon-forged sword, a fragment of Gwen's dress(the one she first saw Gwen in).
